Gritty but Happy Construction Workers

During my visits when working taking photographs for The Thames Tideway Tunnel, I come across some wonderful characters! They work long hours in some challenging weather conditions, but always seem very happy. This tunnel will travel through the heart of London at depths of 30-60 metres and will be 25Km long. Slingers, carpenters, crane drivers, welders, experienced tunnel contractors, to name a few, are all part of the varied craftsmen (and women) working under the Thames!
