Chelsea Embankment Tideway Site..nearly completed.

It’s now possible to imagine how the public realm will look when finished. Going up in a very high crane over the Thames wearing a life jacket enabled getting a great three quarter view of the site, with the magnificent Chelsea Hospital behind! Almost looks like a painted backdrop!

Joseph Bazalgette unveiled his vision for his London sewer system 150 years ago which included creating Chelsea, Victoria and Albert Embankments. Tideway in keeping with Bazalgette’s legacy has designed an enhancement to the environment and is creating a lasting legacy to celebrate the River thames at the heart of London
